How to Create a Custom Checkout Link for Your Marketplace Listings

Unstoppable Domains allows you to list both externally owned domains (domains registered at other registrars) and internally owned domains (domains registered at Unstoppable Domains) on the Unstoppable Marketplace.

Once a domain is listed, it receives its own unique listing page URL.

This link can function as a custom checkout link that you can send directly to a buyer, giving them a clean, professional way to purchase your domain while you benefit from our low 3% commission.

What Is a Custom Checkout Link?

A custom checkout link is a unique, direct URL for your domain’s listing on the Unstoppable Marketplace.

This link:

• Goes straight to the domain’s purchase page

• Works for any listed domain — internal or external

• Lets you send buyers a ready-to-use checkout experience

• Keeps your seller commission low at just 3%

• Uses Unstoppable’s secure transfer process

It is perfect for users who negotiate their own deals and want an easy way for buyers to complete the purchase.

Using Custom Checkout Links for Internally Owned Domains

If your domain is already registered at Unstoppable Domains:

1. List it for sale on the Unstoppable Marketplace. See our guide here on how to list your domains.

2. Once listed, your domain automatically receives its own unique listing URL.

   1. To find this URL, click on your domain on the My Domains page

   2. It will load the List for Sale page and you can click View Listing
      

   3. It will open your listing page and you can copy the URL at the top
      

3. Copy that URL and share it with your buyer.

4. The buyer can check out immediately through the marketplace.

Using Custom Checkout Links for Externally Owned Domains

If your domain is registered at another registrar, you can still list it on our marketplace using the External Listing feature. To see how to list externally owned domains, please see this guide for listing with a CSV and this guide for listing without.

Once listed, it will generate a listing URL like it does for internally listed domains.

Click on the domain on the My Domains page and it will load the domain management page. Click on View Listing and it will load your listing page where you can copy the URL.

How the Buyer Experience Works

When a buyer clicks your custom checkout link:

1. They land directly on your domain’s Unstoppable Marketplace listing

2. They can purchase it immediately using the BIN Price option

3. The transfer is processed securely through Unstoppable

4. You receive payment with only 3% commission deducted

This gives your buyer a seamless, trusted checkout experience—no back-and-forth, no confusion.

Transfer Process for Externally Owned Domains

Once a domain has been sold, the seller will be prompted to transfer the domain into our platform.

This guide covers the process of transferring the domain into our platform. Most registrars have a 60-day hold, meaning you can not transfer a domain to a new registrar within 60 days of registration or transfer-in.

Once the domain has been transferred into our platform, we will automatically push the domain to the new owner's account. Upon transfer-in, the deal is closed automatically, and the sales balance payout is issued to the seller (minus the 3% Marketplace fee), while the buyer will receive the domain.

No further manual actions will be required from either party. The new owner will need to reverify the ICANN contact information associated with the domain.
