Keeping your domain renewed ensures that you maintain ownership and avoid service interruptions. This guide will walk you through how to renew your domain with Unstoppable Domains, as well as explain what happens if your domain has already expired.
Renewal Grace Periods
Grace Period (29 days): After your domain expires, you have 29 days to renew or transfer it at the standard price.
DNS records and forwarding configurations are removed, and Unstoppable nameservers are applied during this period.
Your domain remains renewable and transferable at the normal price during the grace period.
Expired Auctions: Starting on day 30, domains that are not renewed enter a 7-day expired auction.
If a domain receives a bid, it cannot be renewed or transferred.
If no bids are placed, the domain proceeds to a 3-day closeout auction.
Redemption Period: If a domain does not sell at auction, it enters a 30-day redemption period.
Domains can be recovered during this time for a higher redemption fee.

How to Renew Your Domain
To renew your domain, follow these steps:
Go to My Domains in your Unstoppable Domains account.
Click on the domain you wish to renew.
In the left-hand menu under Manage, click Auto-Renewal.
Click the Renew Now button.
You’ll be taken to your cart where you can complete your payment. You can also extend your renewal term beyond one year if desired.
Avoiding Expiration with Auto-Renewal
To ensure you never lose your domain, we recommend enabling auto-renewal. With auto-renew enabled, your domain will renew automatically before expiration, as long as you have a valid payment method on file.
