How do I get UP.io?
Download the app from the App Store for iOS or the Play Store for Android. Additionally, it can be installed on your browser from the Chrome Web Store. If you don't want to install an app, you can also access your wallet from any browser by visiting https://up.io/wallet.
Is UP.io self-custody?
Yes! Your password is required to manage your wallet, and your consent is required for every transaction. Unstoppable Domains cannot access your wallet or password.
What's the difference between UP.io and Unstoppable Lite Wallet?
UP.io is a self-custody wallet solution, meaning users have full control over their assets and are solely responsible for authorizing transactions and managing their holdings. In contrast, Unstoppable Lite Wallet is a custodial solution, where the management of assets is handled by Unstoppable Domains. While users cannot store cryptocurrency in the Lite Wallet, they can still manage their blockchain domains and make on-chain changes without needing to manually approve transactions. This setup offers a more user-friendly experience for domain management but lacks the full control and security benefits of a self-custody wallet like UP.io.
What chains are supported?
The current supported chains are Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Solana and Bitcoin. This list of supported chains may grow over time.
Can I transfer ERC-20 or non-native tokens into the wallet?
Yes, ERC-20 tokens (Ethereum, Base, Polygon) and SPL tokens (Solana) are supported in addition to native tokens for a fun and flexible wallet experience.
How many wallets can an email address have?
Only one. For security reasons, we need to always be able to identify a unique email address for a wallet.
I've lost access to my physical device that I used with my wallet, how can I temporarily disable my wallet?
Submit a support ticket requesting that your wallet be disabled. You will need to supply and verify the email address that was used to create the wallet.
Can I put my wallet in "read-only" mode?
Yes, you can! You can set a manual or time-based lock for your wallet that will disallow it from signing any transactions. See here for more details. <insert link>
How can I reset my password?
If you have a recovery kit, click on the recovery link in that email. You will be prompted to set a new password. See here for more details. You can also reset your password from the security center in your wallet.
What is multi-party computation?
Multi-party computation (MPC) is a an advanced key management approach to distribute trust between multiple individuals. Unstoppable Domains has partnered with Fireblocks to provide MPC technology for UP.io. The approach is more secure because it distributes trust between Fireblocks and the user. Fireblocks and the user collaborate indirectly by sharing their part of the key to allow access, reducing the risk of compromise and enhancing the integrity of your wallet.
Why does UP.io take longer than MetaMask to create transactions?
Since an MPC wallet must aggregate cryptographic data from multiple places, there is more computation required to create and sign a transaction. This is for your security and is what makes UP.io safer to use than traditional self-custody wallets like MetaMask.
What type of Solana support is there?
Transfer of the native SOL and SPL tokens are both supported, as well as swaps to the Solana blockchain. See the swap article for more information about swaps on Solana.
What type of Bitcoin support is there?
Transfer of the native BTC token is supported, as well as swaps to the Bitcoin blockchain. See the swap article for more information about swaps on Bitcoin.
Is WalletConnect supported?
Yes! WalletConnect is supported on both iOS and Android platforms.
Is DNS domain tokenization supported?
Yes! DNS domains can be tokenized to UP.io.
Where do I find my private keys or seed phrases?
You can't because there are none. Just use your password.
