Resolving domains in Brave

Modified on: Fri, 23 Feb, 2024 at 9:19 AM

Brave browser supports the below TLDs natively for resolving websites so you won't need an extension or plugin to load your website.

.crypto

.dao

.nft

.wallet

.x

.zil

.bitcoin

.blockchain

.pudgy

.altimist

.anime

.klever

.manga

.polygon

.unstoppable

You will need to be on the latest version of Brave for all the above TLDs to resolve.

You might notice .888, .hi and .go aren't on this list. .888 is seen as an IP address in browsers and two-letter TLDs are reserved by ICANN for countries so we don't want to potentially cause conflicts with a country code in the future despite .hi and .go not being used or reserved by ICANN. .888, .hi and .go will still resolve with our extension.

If you are on an iPhone Brave won't resolve any Web3 domains because Apple lock the iPhone down to only be able to use Safari as a browser engine so browsers cannot enable Web3 functionality for browsers on iPhones.
