Have you come across a domain that you're interested in and it labeled as Protected? Domains that are Unreleased or Protected means it will need to be manually reviewed to be eligible for release. You are now able to submit a request release of protected domains.
After you have logged into your account, when you find a domain that is protected, you can click on the Request Release button next to the domain.
This will send a request to the support team to review. Upon approval/denial, you will receive an email notifying you of the decision about the release of the domain.
Please be aware that you will need to be logged into a UD account using an email to have access to the Request Release button. If you are logged in with a wallet, you will need request a release using the form here.
Domains that are protected for Trademark purposes are unable to be released, and can only be sold to that entity. If you are interested in applying for a Trademark domain, please complete our Protected Brands Form.
