Please Note: At this time, bridging is only available for domains minted on Polygon or Ethereum. You can only bridge domains Eth -> Polygon and Polygon -> Eth. You are unable to bridge domains minted on Base to Polygon/Ethereum or Polygon/Ethereum minted domains to Base.
Bridging Ethereum domains to Polygon
A few considerations to keep in mind when considering bridging your domain from Ethereum to Polygon:
Bridging to Polygon will require you to pay Ethereum gas fees at the start of the process.
Bridging may take several hours to complete. Once bridging is in process, it can’t be cancelled and during this time you won’t be able to use your domain.
Some dapps, metaverses, and games will only resolve Web3 Domains on a specific chain.
Go to My Domains.
Click “Manage” next to the Ethereum domain you wish to bridge to Polygon
Click “Bridge' then 'Start':
Select your wallet, sign with your wallet and pay a final ETH gas fee.
Wait a few minutes for confirmation.
During this process, your Web3 domain may temporarily disappear from the My Domains page. Once bridged, you'll be able to manage your domain for free with no gas fees.
