Connect Ledger Wallet to Polygon Using MetaMask

Before claiming your domain to the Ledger wallet, you will need to connect it to MetaMask.

  1. To start, connect your MetaMask wallet to the Polygon network as shown here
  2. Then, connect the Ledger wallet to your device and open the Ethereum app (ETH) within the wallet
  3. Open the MetaMask wallet, click on the circle icon on the right, then select Connect Hardware Wallet, select Ledger, and click Continue
  4. After the loading icon, a list of Polygon account addresses appears. Choose one and click on Unlock
  5. The Ledger hardware wallet will load and you will see that it's now connected to MetaMask, you are now able to transact with crypto assets on Polygon

Claiming a Domain to Ledger

Now that the Ledger wallet is connected to the Polygon network through MetaMask, it's time to claim your domain!

  1. Go to the My Domains page and click on Claim / Unstoppable Vault next to the Web3 domain. Then 'Claim into your Wallet'
  2. Click on the MetaMask plugin then click on Connect under the Ledger wallet
  3. Now that the Ledger wallet is connected to MetaMask, you can add the Ledger wallet address by clicking on Add New Wallet
  4. Click on the MetaMask option when prompted, this will open the MetaMask wallet plugin and prompt you to sign a transaction to connect the wallet to your UD account. Click on Sign, also, you will be prompted to confirm the transaction in your Ledger wallet before you continue
  5. On your screen, click on the wallet address of the Ledger wallet you added. If you have multiple wallets connected to your UD account, click on the address with the Just Added flair under it
  6. Check the box next to I understand then click on Confirm to claim the domain
  7. Now the domain is being published to the blockchain. This process can take up to 10 minutes. You can click on Track Progress to view the transaction on the Polygon network or click Back to Domains to go back to the My Domains page
